Jozankei Gensen Park

Opened in the summer of 2005 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Miizumi Jozan. It recreates the rich forest of Jozankei, and has all sorts of hot springs including footbath, knee bath, springs for boiling eggs, waterfalls, and small path of mountain grass and flowers. Just a 3-minute walk from the hotel, so how about taking a stroll wearing a Japanese yukata? Also, various hand and foot baths are around the hotel for you to leisurely enjoy.

Jozankei Walking Paths

Around the Jozankei Onsen, there are several attractions including walking paths for Futami Park, Futami Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge, and Kappabuchi. Come explore and enjoy Jozankei nature in its pristine abundance.

Houheikyo Dam

Located just 8 minutes by car from Jozankei. Positioned in the heart of the Houheikyo Dam is one of Sapporo's most popular leisure spots with a beautiful weave of nature's lakes and foliage. Especially beautiful in autumn, it was selected as one of the Forestry Agency's "100 Best Water Source Forests" and the Forestry Agency / Minstry of Health and Welfare selection as a "Recreation Forest".

Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort

An approximate 30-minute drive from Jozankei lies one of the best powder snow ski slopes in Hokkaido. Featuring lengthy course distances from 2.2km to 3.6km and a high-speed gondola to the summit that seats 6-8 people. You can enjoy long cruising without long lift waits.

North Safari Sapporo

A short 10-minute car drive from Jozankei. Despite being the smallest zoo in Hokkaido, it is a walking safari full of fun. From land animals to sea creatures, you can view ponies, Tokara goats, red-necked wallabies, maras, momonga flying squirrels, beavers, sea lions, and cape penguins in the zoo. Guests can feed and touch the animals, as well as take part in various nature activities of the nearby mountains and rivers that lie in the surrounding area.

Nakayama Pass

30 minutes by car from Jozankei hot spring, located near the center of National Route 230 that crosses Shikotsu-Toya National Park. From an altitude of 836m you can see a panoramic view of Mt. Yotei, called the Mt. Fuji of Hokkaido. It's a wonderful point to view Mt. Yotei while eating the famous “Ageimo" original fried potato.

Shinohara Orchard

"Located in Toyotaki, Sapporo, only a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Shinohara Orchard is a hillside of vast fruits and vegetables including fresh organic radishes and vegetables, as well as apples, pears, plums, prunes, strawberries, cherries. Seasonal fruits such as apricots, plums and karin are also nurtured. With the climb of a little hill and a beautiful view of Hakkenzan before you, go and discover another Sapporo.
